Getting Started

  • Browse the therapist profiles under Who We Are to find someone who feels like a good fit, then reach out to them directly by phone or email. You'll find each therapist's contact number and email address on their individual page.

  • Yes. Because each therapist practices independently, we encourage you to browse individual profiles and reach out to the person whose experience and approach feel right for you.

  • Before your first visit, you'll be asked to complete a New Client Information Form, which you can download and fill out at home to save time. If that's not possible, plan to arrive 15-20 minutes early to complete it before your session.

About the Practice

  • We are located in Atlanta, Georgia, in Druid Chase Office Park on Buford Highway. Our offices can be reached from Buford Highway near the intersection of Buford Highway and North Druid Hills Road, or from an entrance off North Druid Hills near I-85. Our offices are handicapped accessible and on the MARTA bus line.

  • Metropolitan Psychotherapy Associates was founded in the late 1980s and has been a home for experienced psychotherapists in Atlanta for over three decades.

  • Yes. Several of our therapists provide clinical supervision for post-graduate clinicians pursuing licensure, as well as consultation for practicing mental health professionals.

Fees & Insurance

  • Each therapist sets their own fees. You may find fee information on their individual profile pages or by reaching out to them directly.

  • None of our therapists are on any insurance panels, but we can provide you with a superbill to submit for out-of-network coverage if you should have it. Contact your insurance company for information about your “out-of-network coverage.”

Our Services

  • We offer individual, couples, family, and group therapy, along with trauma-focused treatment and consultation for mental health professionals. Our clinicians draw from a wide range of approaches including psychodynamic therapy, EMDR, Emotionally Focused Therapy, DBT, and cognitive-behavioral models.

  • Our therapists work with adults, adolescents, children, couples, and families. Each clinician has their own areas of specialization — you can find those details on their individual profile pages.
